Dudhsagar waterfalls, one of the tallest waterfall in India, is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi river in Goa. The waterfall is 1015 ft (310 m) high and 100 m wide. Situated in the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park among the Western Ghats, the waterfall forms the border between Karnataka and Goa states.
As per some myths, the mountains were once the abode to a king and his beautiful daughter who lived in a palace made of ivory. The princess used to visit a lake nearby where she sipped honeyed milk before having her bath. One day, she found a price watching her while taking bath. The princess immediately poured the milk from the jug in order to shroud herself behind the cascade of milk. The milk, symbolic of the chaste maiden, is said to have fallen from the mountains, plummeting down as the waterfalls
During monsoons, the place becomes lush green and provides a spectacular view. The waterfall, teeming with water from surrounding rivers, looks white (like a sea of milk) due to the force of the flowing water.

09:00 am : Visit Dudhsagar Waterfall base and enjoy near the falls keeping safety on priority.
10:30 am : Start trekking from Dudhsagar Waterfall towards Kulem.
02:00 pm : Reach Kulem guest house and have Lunch and get ready for a return journey.
04:00 pm : Move to Madgaon Station by Train or Local Transport
07:00 pm : From Madgoan Station Catch Train for Return Journey

Travel Schedule
- We’ll be boarding the below train from our nearest local station. Train timings are shared below for convenience.
- Day 0: Saturday
- For Mumbai People they can board the 11029 / Koyna Express. Or Mumbai People can also opt for Shivneri Buses and Meet us @ Pune Railway Station
- 08:40 am : CSTM
- 08:53 am : Dadar
- 09:13 am : Thane
- 09:33 am : Kalyan
- 12:40 am : Pune
- Reaching Pune @ 12:40 pm.
- Meeting Point for Pune People :
- Meeting point at Pune Railway station, Platform no 3 : at 15:00 Hrs.
- Meeting Point : Pune Railway station at 04:00 pm on Saturday
- We will be catching the Goa Express at 16.35 Hrs. Overnight Journey toward Dudhsagar Station
Things to carry
- Some ready to eat food like- plum cakes, fruits, chocolates, biscuits, etc
- ID Card (Must)
- Raincoat / Poncho (Must)
- Torch with extra batteries (Must)
- 3 Litres of water must
- Full sleeve T-shirts and full pant. For girls full neck t-shirt.
- Good trekking shoes
- Carry 3-4 extra carry-bags
- Extra pair of clothes,Towel,napkin,extra socks
- Small pillow and thin blanket for sleeping in train
- Cap, Camera as Optional
- 1 packet of electrol, enerzal, glucon-D
- Medications if required for individual
- Avoid wearing precious ornaments on an event, if possible
- And a haversack or backpack to put all the above things to be carried, so hands are free to help each other while trekking. Sling bags / jholas / trolley bags etc not allowed on the event. Please pack accordingly.
